My research proposal entitled “Oil Recovery with Novel Skimmer Surfaces Under Cold Climate Conditions” was awarded $170,000 grant through the Coastal Response Research Center at the University of New Hampshire. (March 7th, 2006)

Victoria Broje has been a Ph.D. student at Bren School of Environmental Science & Management (University of California Santa Barbara) since 2002.

She graduated from Saint Petersburg State Technical University (Russia) in 2001 with the Honors Diploma and the Master of Engineering and Technologies degree. Topic of the Master Thesis: “Modeling of the Oil Spills and Contingency Measures in the Arctic with Emphasis on the Pechora Sea Region.” As a part of this project she studied at the University Courses on Svalbard (UNIS, Norway).

Current project:  

Development of advanced techniques to respond to oil spills in coastal waters.
