Growing up in New England, Breanna Flanagan was mesmerized by the constantly changing and unpredictable natural environment.  Breanna was always the girl playing too long in the snowstorm and swimming too deep at the lake.  As she got older, she grew aware of global environmental issues, how people impact the environment, and how she can take part in saving the environment.  In 2004, she received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Environmental Science and Policy from Clark University in Worcester, MA.  Eventually she took her education to the next level and entered the master's program at the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, where she currently is in her second year of studies.  In the summer of 2007, she was a Research Assistant for the Executive Director at Environment Now in Santa Monica, CA, researching topics such as nuclear power in California, waste conversion technologies in Los Angeles County, the peripheral canal debate in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, and case studies of corporate sustainability.

Trevor O'Grady, a native to New Jersey, is enjoying his new West Coast experience at the Bren School.  Before Bren, Trevor completed a double major in Biology and Economics at Rutgers University, and competed as a Scarlet Knight for the school’s track and field team.  His graduate studies have helped him recognize his passion for environmental economics, and he is interested in pursuing PhD training in the discipline.  Trevor has held various jobs that include working as a research assistant, a youth counselor, and his favorite, a bassist in a rock band.  On the lighter side of life, Trevor loves a good conversation, kids, The Beatles, really big trees, and the occasional hefeweizen.
