Lexie Brown

Lexie Brown grew up in South Florida and earned a Bachelor
of Science degree from the University of Miami (go Canes!) in Marine
Science and Biology. Throughout her undergraduate career, she
engaged in scientific research concerning tropical coral reefs and
seagrass communities. Before coming to the Bren School, Lexie
worked as the Research and Education Assistant at the Central
Caribbean Marine Institute in the Cayman Islands. She is pursuing
the Coastal Marine Resources Management specialization at the Bren
School and hopes to focus on the human dimensions of resource
management upon graduation from the program. Besides studying and
reading, Lexie spends her time rock climbing, running and enjoying
the lack of humidity in beautiful Southern California.

Growing up in New England, Breanna Flanagan
was mesmerized by the constantly changing and unpredictable natural
environment. Breanna was always the girl playing too long in the
snowstorm and swimming too deep at the lake. As she got older, she
grew aware of global environmental issues, how people impact the
environment, and how she can take part in saving the environment.
In 2004, she received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in
Environmental Science and Policy from Clark University in Worcester,
MA. Eventually she took her education to the next level and entered
the master's program at the Donald Bren School of Environmental
Science and Management, where she currently is in her second year of
studies. In the summer of 2007, she was a Research Assistant for
the Executive Director at Environment Now in Santa Monica, CA,
researching topics such as nuclear power in California, waste
conversion technologies in Los Angeles County, the peripheral canal
debate in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, and case studies of
corporate sustainability.

Mike Mosely

Mike Mosley was born and raised in
Bakersfield, CA when the city was still primarily farms and oil
fields. He attended Stanford University, earning a Bachelor of
Science degree in Geology and Environmental Science while also
completing Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) requirements to
become a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army. Military
service has taken Mike half way around the world and back. He was
discharged in 2004, taking a job in the aerospace industry before
deciding to pursue a graduate degree in environmental science. Mike
wishes to draw upon his experience as a project manager to pursue
employment in the water resources management profession.

Trevor O'Grady, a native to New Jersey, is enjoying his
new West Coast experience at the Bren School. Before Bren, Trevor
completed a double major in Biology and Economics at Rutgers
University, and competed as a Scarlet Knight for the school’s track
and field team. His graduate studies have helped him recognize
his passion for environmental economics, and he is interested in
pursuing PhD training in the discipline. Trevor has held
various jobs that include working as a research assistant, a youth
counselor, and his favorite, a bassist in a rock band. On the
lighter side of life, Trevor loves a good conversation, kids, The
Beatles, really big trees, and the occasional hefeweizen.
