Theme Week!

Theme week is a week where the BSSC focuses on one issue such as water conservation or plastic pollution and makes information available to the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management as well as the rest of the UCSB campus.

One of last years theme weeks focused on the election. We wanted to give objective information on the environmental stance of candidates. Pamphlets were made to assist voting. We also included a summary of candidates who may not have a clear environmental record.

Another theme was the problem of plastics in the ocean. A film was shown in Bren Hall and educational materials were spread around campus.
